This is a dome we worked on in a local residence. We milled
and fabricated eleven different ovals and octagons in both
wood and urethane foam. Twenty casts of each shape were
made in a flexible plastic. A computer model of the dome was
designed to determine the placement of each cast, which was
aided on site with the use of a laser level. Also, to add to
the visual effect, each shape tapers toward the apex, and has
a two tone paint scheme.
